Mount Arafah is a sacred and historic site for Muslims around the world. Located approximately 20 kilometers from Mecca, Saudi Arabia, it plays a central role during the Hajj pilgrimage. Pilgrims gather here on the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah to perform wukuf, one of the essential rites of Hajj.
Also known as Jabal Rahmah or "Mount of Mercy", it is believed to be the place where Prophet Adam and Eve were reunited after being cast out of paradise. This has made the site a symbol of love, mercy, and forgiveness.
Every year, millions of Muslims congregate on the Plain of Arafah to pray, reflect, and seek forgiveness. The atmosphere is filled with devotion, silence, and emotion, making it the spiritual climax of the Hajj.
